If you broke one of the plastic "Trapeze handles" out of a swing … how well it's going to hit plastic held together?
What is the difference between the plastic adhesive and PVC glue? and if you paste the crack formed when the chain broke … Will it be as strong as before? how depends, how? What are other options to replace it? how and where you can probably find a replacement? please explain what you can, thanks for your answers! WHAT "silicon glue"? How and where can I GET? WILL IT WORK BETTER KEEP cracked area together again? THESE REALLY ARE THE HANDLES I'm talking about … RING AREA NOW cracked .. AND I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN unite solidly AGAIN.
I went in http://www.swingsetstuff.com manufacturer's website (Page 2 of the accessories category) to see if I could figure out what type of plastic they are made and found a couple of them U.S. $ 6.98. If it were PVC, I would say them, because the adhesive glue that is used to dissolve the two surfaces together and forms a very strong bond, but for $ 7 plus shipping, not even bother trying to fix old and just order a new set. There are a lot different types of plastic and most of them need a certain type of glue to bind them together, if possible (some are too slippery to be attached) so without knowing the exact type used in the rings, I do not even fool with it. Especially when the safety of children is at stake. You can try to find a local store that carries them and also save the cost of shipping, but I really dare to try to fix you already have, because the cost of the new is so cheap. Some adhesives are quite expensive, too, though to find the right one.
