Swing Swing Set
How to get rid of ants on a Wooden Swing? Spray? Kid Friendly?
I just put a real nice wooden swing and I've noticed I'm getting very little ants (Or at least look like ants) all over the Swing Set (mostly the areas of wood). When I say small I mean really small! I do not know if a spray will work to solve this problem or something else to work like this … I am worried aobut the issues security, if I spray bug / ant spray everywhere. I sprayed the grass that is in all areas and bottom of the swing that are not touched by children. Any thoughts or ideas? I'm kind of desperate becaue it is not enough to kill these things. I do not know if they are attracted to the wood or what! Thanks!
snuff pipe purchase at your local store. Soaking in warm water overnight. Decant the liquid and discard the wet snuff. Pour the mound – that suffer from a nicotine overdose and die. Follow the trail of ants to determine where they come from. Locate the holes, apply the holes with soap or white glue. Apply baby powder in the path of the ants. The ants that come into contact with the dust going to die soon. Apply more baby powder or red pepper to kill the remaining ants. After they are dead, sweep away the ants and excess powder or red pepper. You can also add two or three drops of lavender essential oil. That will keep away ants away, too. Soap does not always work, since it does not always kill off the queen. Tips Try a natural repellent such as chili powder, used coffee grounds or soil. Citrus peel (ground) works well too. They hate the smell of vinegar, a solution with water to spray around. For a more permanent solution, find the nest, and destroy it with boiling water. You can also leave a jar of honey somewhere else, this shows that if they are nested in other places too. Douse the swing around (especially wood, chances are the nest) with vinegar – it's worth the trouble. There is a brilliant article I found here: http://www.epestsupply.com/ants.htm

Goal Setting Advantage – Legend or logic? Part 4 of 4
Copyright (c) 2008 GainMore Advantage
In the first three parts of this series we seen setting goals, the actual research process and behind this to find out what makes the difference.
It seems that there is considerable support for the idea SMART objectives, however, there are still some problems with what is the goal. Is it a result or return on?
Outcome goals – some problems
The problem faced by many people about the goals of result is that there is an element which is beyond the power of the individual. An example of the potential problems with a "target end "comes from a little sad the testimony of a participant in a particular research:
"My goal was to have $ 3 million in the bank for retirement by age 55. I achieved my goal with great satisfaction early at age 43. Unfortunately my bank was at the center of a fraud and went under. 16 years later, still working and gradually rebuilding my goal. Thus, the goals are important and we need to know what we want to achieve in life – just choose a single target itself, including but not leave it all in one place. "
performance goals are more often subject to others and the environment. The greater the possibility of achieve a goal through yourself – that is, their own performance – the more you are in control of compliance goals.
The goals that have a high dependence of others and / or external circumstances are considerably more difficult to influence. As an extreme example, one survey participant goal of winning the lottery! However, there are certain things you can do to increase the likelihood of this becomes a reality, the purchase of tickets is a useful, but how many? Interestingly, another participant who had a "money", actually, the objective of achieving its objective – through winning the lottery! Although not the original plan and they same classification as "somewhat satisfied" to have completely achieved their goal. While playing money targets, another participant reminds us to be specific on your goal is important:
"My goal was to be a millionaire by 35 … I got the moment I stepped away from the currency at the airport in Jakarta against! "
Continuing with our survey participants revealed uniformity in the way it was about setting goals and actions to achieve their objectives. We have seen how those who are most successful in terms of personal wealth had goals SMART. This does not mean that success can be measured by of personal wealth at all – the original intention was just to try the legendary The Yale study results. And, of course, someone could have set a goal SMART in perfect condition – but because of their environment, had not accumulated as much personal wealth in terms of a single currency – in fact, a person may have less in terms of monetary wealth, however, be considerably better in terms of value it can bring less money.
Performance objectives
An interesting aspect that began to manifest itself in the results was personal satisfaction in achieving goals.
People who sets goals Ability 'Type, or performance targets' reported that 'very satisfied' with their achievements – whether objectives fully achieved or not yet complete.
In part, this suggests the importance of personal values and suggests a question about the process by which goals are set. Through a random selection of fifty reviewers find that there is some uniformity in the way goals are set:
When comparing the groups 'very satisfied' with their achievements and 'satisfied' or 'somewhat satisfied with their achievements. The first group were more likely to have SMART goals. The objective is described in sensory terms – what is seen, heard and feel, and a small number, smelled, and tasted. Respondents were clear about what the goal will be a positive for them and the cost for themselves (and others) to achieve their goal. His goal, which extends even considered personally "knew" they were able to achieve for themselves.
Over 60% said their goal in the present tense – 'I am' instead of 'I will. " This provides a useful model for a process to set goals we have become an easy to remember acronym: SWING.
Goal setting process
1. A SMART objective and sensory performance.
2. What am I going to win and lose in a positive way.
3. Am I in control of achieving this goal?
4. Expressed as now.
5. Guarantee – This is a psychological process added to ensure the personal motivation towards the goal.
Final thoughts
In our study, those individual performance goals established with slight variations of this process represent a small fraction, but statistically significant sample has a network of greater accumulation of personal wealth annualized (2.15 times) and are more satisfied than individuals who use only one or two aspects of this process. It is not Writing down the goal that makes the difference appears to be the emphasis on performance or capacity and the process of thinking through the lens.
And those of you, like me, who simply do not escape to set targets so back and worry that you might have missed out – so you can not go back and revise history, but you can create a new division.
