Do you think you would be able to use the Pool Inflatable toys and sleds in the snow?
I grew up on the beaches and recently moved to a place where a large amount of snow in the winter. I have a lot of these giant inflatable rafts and so I've used in swimming pools. Do you think you would be able using them to slide downhill in the snow? Has anyone tried yet?
People use inflatable boats and sleds all the time, and there is nothing wrong with that. Feel free to use inflatable rafts. However, this is where I draw the line. Other Inflatable Pool toys such as inner tubes and these could recliners be used as sleds, but I would not recommend it. It is more likely to hurt one of these then you are in an inflatable raft. With a raft, there are "walls" are you flying from blocking the raft to go downhill. With an air chamber, if you sit on the right that can slide inside, and you can hit your ass on the branches and rocks that could be in the snow. With reclining chairs, are more likely to fall and get hurt. Now I have said it is okay to use inflatable boats and sledges, but I am VERY careful when using them as such. Yes, inflatable boats are relatively safe, because no body parts are exposed to the earth, but your child may get hurt if the raft on a loose branch protruding from the earth or a rock or something. If that happens, your child may be injured from burns received from the raft popping. So while I would use as rafts sleds, I use extreme caution when used as a sled.
