What are living conditions like at the base in Djibouti? How safe is the area?
I am a little Navy civilian to be sent Djibouti. We are told it will stay in base (because there are no hotels in the vicinity?), And we're guessing this means Camp Lemonier. We have heard that living in tents campaign or container units of life. What are they like? Do CLUS have a bathroom? It's very dangerous area? They say we're going to be really sure, but we are reading something else on the Internet! Any information from anyone stationed there would be appreciated!
Its not a dangerous area, but an environment very depressing, it's nothing but desert with nothing worth seeing around the country, and it is very hot and dusty, so cases, the conditions of this country suck worse any foreign country, have ever been to that is not a war zone.
