How do you trigger a new slide?
I’m making a game in powerpoint for my class presentation.
I want to make it so that if I click on a certain autoshape on the slide, it will go to a different slide (A Set Slide that has a message). Like for example, if I click on the textbook that says [a] on the slide, it will automatically go to a different slide, which displays [wrong answer].
By the way, this is Powerpoint 2007.
You can create a hyperlink for specific text or an action setting for an image/object or an entire text box.
This is after you have designated a slide to link to.
Hyperlink:
1. Highlight the text you want
2. Go to Insert > Hyperlink
3. Click Place in This Document (on the left) and select the slide you want
Action Setting:
1. Highlight the object you want
2. Go to Insert > Action Setting
3. On Mouse-click, select Hyperlink to and select a slide.
I’ve made a few trivia PowerPoints before. 
I wouldn’t recommend attempting to keep score on the presentation, since it can get pretty messy with an exponential growth in the number of slides you would have to make.
