Is it legal to jump to the sky lantern in Singapore?

Of course not, if something is a commercial jet in the sky are going to NO JOKE down. My neighbor has a Remote Control wirplane "officials of Singapore that I threw down calling it a" national security threat "

Explaining the Popularity of the Wish Lantern

Why are Wish Lanterns all the rage these days? They seem to have risen (excuse the pun) in popularity with the 21st century general public at quite an extraordinary rate. Even just a few years ago, if someone had asked me just what a wish lantern was, I wouldn’t have been able to offer much in the way of a response. It’s a different story now, however. Wish Lanterns, or Sky Lanterns seem to be cropping up everywhere. At festivals, at parties- both large and small, at weddings, and (a little disturbingly but lovely none the less) at funerals or to commemorate a death.

Floating lanterns have been around since the day dot. They date back from as early as the 3rd century BC where the Chinese experimented with the first hot air balloons to use as a signal of oncoming threat in times of warfare. Later they became associated with non-military activities and were incorporated into festivals like the Chinese mid-autumn festival and the lantern Festival which still exists today.

Here in England, a version of these lanterns are doing the rounds and they are now nothing short of a staple celebratory accessory. I think that the reason for their appeal lies in their simple beauty. We are living in an age where we a bombarded with gimmicks and gadgets to distract and hold our ever shortening attention spans. It is a relief to have a product that doesn’t patronise its consumer, that just asks to be gazed at and enjoyed.

The Wish Lantern unlocks our imagination, thwarts our cynicism, and gives us something to be happy about. That is definitely something to celebrate.
