Set Swingsets
Swingsafe…does it work?
Has anyone ever used “SwingSafe”? It’s an anchor system for metal swingsets. Fill each tube with water and tie them around each leg of the swingset. It’s supposed to weigh the set down enough so anchoring or concrete is avoidable.
The website says each tube (filled) weighs 40 pounds. 4 tubes x 40 = 160 pounds total weight. Is this enough to keep the swingset from tipping if two young children are swinging on it?
Water isn’t all that heavy. Try to tie a few cinder blocks to the swing.
