What color scheme should be used on your website and how to help users in the long term.

For some people, the most colorful is the most joyful it is. However, in a more general definition of a web site which are well balanced, it is not always the case. Words such as nice, wow or beautiful can be very subjective in assessing the appearance of a particular website. For some, a colorful, flashy and brilliant website may be attractive, while a track dark might be better for others. So the main question now is – how do you go about choosing the right colors for your website?

The largest and most widely practiced concept of the Web application is the focus of RYB color. As the three main colors, red (R), yellow (Y) and Blue (B), hence RYB, these three colors are known to have a big impact on how Internet users react and interpret the messages on their websites. You will notice that most of web links are underlined in blue by default. Error messages are usually red. Provides a pleasant light yellow to dark backgrounds also complements very well. Orange (yellow + red) text, for example, is extremely popular among black background. Try it and you know why. Check out www.microsoft.com for example. It has an excellent implementation of primary and secondary colors along with the support of black and white. Applying this technique to the design of your website and you can improve the appearance overall design significantly, if not much.

Different classification of web sites require a different approach. In most cases, I do not have a corporate website with a black background or any extremely dark. Apparently a white background seems to mean shape and a certain level of cleanliness of design. It is not a dark background can not take a look clean cut, is just a typical mental translation of human observation that the white color is actually the cleanest, or simply easier on the eyes. Black background on the other hand, often represents something that is luxurious, elegant, bold, but has a reasonable level of severity therein.

Most web page designers, or rather the creators believe that the role of emphasization using light colors and dark. For example, a dark background combined with a light content area, only attracts visitors to emphasize more in the middle, which happens to be the content area. It works very simple, if you have a light background with dark content area. You can also add patterns or images to the background to spice things up. Just do not get these additional elements to change the original appearance of the colors. The only problem with background image is unusually large that can kill some of the attention you want your visitors have in your main content.

There is nothing wrong with having a web site with either a light or dark background, provided that looks good, and of course if you are very well presented, readable, containing an easy to use. How do you know if you think it is just something that can not be measured in words, but simply looking at it. If you look at him and for himself some kind of spontaneous agreement, he thinks the color fits perfectly with everything else, then you've hit the jackpot big. If it works differently, and you just feel like there's something wrong, play with colors until you have that feeling comforting that you have done a great job.

You might be thinking at this point, what color goes with what color? You can browse through the network, searching the web pages and scoring good combination of colors as you go or simply go to http://www.colormatch.dk. This website is extremely simple and easy to use, yet powerful in terms of features. Plain and simple, just choose one dominant color of your website and you simply have chosen for you 6 colors other information that supplements its main color, with color codes. As simple as 1-2-3. Colormatch.dk Note that only works in Internet Explorer browser. Try ColorMatch and google to obtain improved and modified versions of the original.

Also, do not always try to get your website too dark or too bright. Can Use one or both at the same time, but not too excessively, and try to find a color that complements or enhances its support initial choice. Try to balance to the use of tone of color across your website as well. If you think the top right of your website is very bright compared to the rest of your page, then since is to reduce the brightness to equal the general layout or just brighten up the rest of the website, in a controlled, of course. If you are adventurous, that's right replicate bright area to the lower right, making the area a zone right a bit "Bright Colors." Key point here is to maintain the balance of your use of color. You do not want to drive a car with a door is slightly and yet, obviously, the darker or lighter.

Last but not least, try to limit the number of colors to a reasonable amount. 2-4 are good amount of colors, excluding black and white. Black and white are simply too important not to be used. If you really need to use additional colors, try using a darker version or lighter than its main colors. If your color principal is red, wine red, crimson or brown are good choices. Even brown tone of reality might look red sometimes. Try "Recolor" get some graphics or charts that match your overall selection of colors.

Another good concept to follow is to apply a combination of colors to suit your logo. If orange and black logo, for example, try to improve the color by applying the same colors and the same colors with different tones through their joint website. Some designers even choose your colors based on pre-selected images they have for your website. Some images are only likely to be too perfect to be exceptionally omitted, which explains such cases.

I hope this guide will help you get the right color and have a better understanding of how to choose and what not to do any of your future web design work. However, do not try to limit their creativity and imagination based solely on this article. Get your ideas flowing and constantly experimenting with his ideas. Good luck!
