What if motorcycle tyre explodes?

What’s happening when motorcycle one of tyres suddenly explodes due to riding process? Can it even happen or do motorcycle tyres are so hard differently from cars’ not to explode? Yesterday I just thought about situations when you riding too fast to see any edged barrier and ride on it? Will rider fall from motorcycle then or continue riding, just tyre will slowly release it’s air? Or it explodes loudly and splashes?

Motorcycle tires are structured differently than car tires… and care procedures along with tire technology should minimize the risk (as well as riding technique and procedure). However, it is possible that you have a complete tire “blow out”.

In that case, there are procedures to follow to ensure that you bring the bike to a safe stop without crashing. If a front tire explodes, you shift your weight towards the back. If a rear tire blows, you stay seated as you are. In either case, you should straighten the bike and keep a firm grip on the handlebars. Apply brake pressure to the wheel without the blown tire (but not too much, as locking the tire would most likely cause a crash… remember, you’re already at a loss of traction).

You’d be surprised how much control you still have on a motorcycle even with a blown tire.
