Red Black
What would cause my dog to have a black /red rash and smell very bad?
He is always licking himself and his whole underbody has turned red/black and he has a very bad ordor. He has started to work his way up his sides. Never use to mess in the house and now he messes on the floor at night when we sleep or he barks to get out every night , through the night which is something he never did before. We are always sure to let him out everynight before we go to bed and this has always worked for the 11 years we have had him but it no longer works.
Sounds like he has an infection. Infections usually have an odor. He’ll need a trip to the vet to diagnose the problem. If he’s changing he habits, that might be a sign that he has something wrong with him.
