How often should I change the filter sand in a sand pit?
I am responsible for maintenance of two swimming pools and have experience with filters Muchmore DE. I have no idea when the sand was last modified.
Often the sand in a sand filter out the filter itself will last if properly maintained. I have some clients who have had the same arena for over 10 years. If you ever have trouble with a sand filter is better to use a sand filter cleaner / degreaser. Make sure you clean the mineral deposits and grease. Over time this will cause the accumulation of the edges of the grains of soft sand that allows rubble in to pass through the sand and not hooked. Filter cleaner / degreaser will remove this build up and basically make the brand new arena.
