What are the chances of the average middle school child to become a pro player. sports?
sure! we will not kill the enthusiasm or opportunity. But let's be real with the kids. I am a middle school teacher, and I am thinking of new ideas. any comments, inspiration, any professional suggestion. sports players out there who want to comment?
Pro Soccer has 32 teams with about 80 players each from the 2560 Baseball has 30 teams in the majors with about 30 per team. That is 900. The NBA has 30 teams with about 16 players each. That's 480. Hockey has 30 teams with about 22 players. That's 660. This means that for MAJOR league sports teams, there are less than five thousand athletes. Minors and fringe sports team, say There is another peak of 10,000. Not counting courses and other professional sports individual, which means there are 15,000 athletes professional sports team in the U.S.. There are about 300 million people in the U.S. and is roughly 50/50 male / female, not the 150M men. Therefore, there are 40 million children under 21 years of age. So that means that the odd one of these guys to be a professional athlete, regardless of ability or other factors is about 2667 to one. Best chance of the lottery, but I would like to stake my future on it either.
