Help with DVD/CD drive!!! PLZZZZ!!!?
Ok so i went to copy one of my dvds (NOT PIRATING I KNOW IT’S AGAINST THE LAW) and it said that there was an error so i thought it was nero 7 ultra edition so i went into windows dvd burner ( i have vista home premium) and added the movie and everything and clicked burn and it finished and said there was an error. I know the file is real. I know the drive READS dvds but will not write them. I also know that the drive will READ & WRITE cd’s. i haven’t had the problem before. i tryed using diffrent dvds with no luck. i haven’t changed the brand of the dvds and they worked before so i’m thinking that something is installed wrong…mabey i hope because it’s a laptop specs are below

Odds are there is some sort of copyright protection on it. I experinced this, this weekend. No, it wasn’t a commercial disc. It was made by someone else that had a home video on it and I couldn’t copy it.
I have nearly the same setup as you.
The Work Around (It takes a while):
Download MagicISO or some other ISO creater besides nero.
Create an Image of the disc.
Then use nero to burn the disc. using the created ISO.
Took me about 2.5 hours las night but it worked. When nothing else would.
