Is Chester Bennington leaving Linkin park for dead sun rise?

Chester isn’t leaving Linkin Park. His main priority is Linkin Park. Linkin Park is supposed to be putting out a new album in 2010. This side project of his is similar to what Mike did with Fort Minor. Mike wanted to explore with just create a straight hip hop album and could not do it with Linkin Park hence the side project and its the same thing with Chester he wanted create something that is outside of sound of Linkin Park hence Dead by Sunrise. If they were to create it within the band, I think they would alienate many more fans by doing a total departure from what they are.

Chester is teaming with Julien K to form his side project Dead by Sunrise. The album will be out September 09.

Discovering Eastern Cuba – Baconao Park: Sun, Beach, and Mountains

Nature and Art harmoniously combine in the so well known Baconao Park, a large region situated approximately 20 km from the Eastern city of Santiago de Cuba. It is a pristine place, with isolated communities, and fantastic beaches completing the landscape of intense green and abundant vegetation. It is one of the touristic destinations most visited by national and foreign travellers.

Its name is closely related to that of a small aborigine boy of the Pre-Columbian tribes who was living in the region at that time. History mentions a magic tree called “bacona” that gave the child the special gift to get music out of the snails of the lake. This gift was inherited by the surrounding trees once the child died.

Due to its natural features, UNESCO declared the park a World Biosphere Reserve. Many agree that this is the ideal place for peace and a starting point for leisure time, beautified by the sea, the mountains, and the dissimilar sculptors that have been placed there by Cuban artists. Among the attractions of the park, the “Valle de la Prehistoria” highlights the magnificent environment that allows you to live a sequence of parallel worlds featuring dozens of stone animal sculptures almost of natural or even gigantic proportions, and evolutionary human links spread out through a large area surrounded by mountains (59 species are represented in the 227 pieces). The most spectacular of all the pieces is the “Hombre de Cro-Magnon”, whose statue is the biggest in the whole valley.

A modern Aquarium can also be visited in Baconao, with the marine fauna of the Caribbean. A 30 meter under-the-sea tunnel allows the visitors to observe the species in their own natural habitat. It also offers shows with dolphins, and sea lions. The park also has a Museum of the Terrestrial Transportation, where more than two thousand miniature vehicles are exhibited. There is also an exhibition of antique cars of real proportions. For children, a special area has been created; it’s called “El Mundo de la Fantasía” (The Fantasy World).

However, the main attraction is, undoubtedly, La Gran Piedra, a huge stone block of volcanic origin weighing around 63,000 tons. It can be climbed through 459 stone steps right up to the top, 1,234 meters above sea level, perfect for enjoying a panoramic view. It’s been said that during a dark night, it’s possible to see the lights in Jamaica, and in clear days with a good visibility, both Eastern coasts can be seen.

Numerous facilities can be found in the Baconao Park, and numerous services are offered as well. There are lots of black-sand beaches ideal for snorkeling, and if you are willing to stay there for a few days, we recommend the hotels Coralia Club Bucanero and Club Amigo Carisol Los Corales.
