Outdoor Sandbox
How would you deal with a neighbor’s wild cats that keep coming into your kids’ sand box and defecating in it?
We even have a lid for this sandbox and the cats have torn it up and gotten in. They also dig in our roses and pee on our front door. They yowl by our bedroom window frequently. It’s become a real nuisance and now the cats are destroying parts of our property. The neighbors just keep buying cats for their sons and letting them run wild at all times of the day and night. They just tell us “they are outdoor cats”.
What can we legally do? (we are in the state of Texas if that helps)
We’ve done the animal repellent, but it doesn’t seem to work. And I’m not installing a sprinkler system just to keep away cats, especially in the middle of winter.
Don’t get me wrong, we love animals. But I don’t want wild cats destroying our property. I also hate that they never let them in, even on the nights we’ve gotten temps below 20 degrees.
I am sorry you have such ignorant and irresponsible neighbors.
You should not have to spend 4 cents on this problem. Their property ( cats ) is damaging your property. And their property is trespassing on yours.
The burden of fixing this is soley their responsibility. If they do not fix it after you politely explain to them what you have told us here you need to take legal action.
I wouldn’t call the police without talking to someone at your town or city hall about the correct course of action to take.
