Help with water splashing back out of washing machine waste water pipe?
The drainage hose is about five inches down the waste water pipe. When the machine starts to spin the waste water comes out with such force that it spashes out of the top of the waste water pipe. What can I do to stop it happening?
We had this too and our plummer raised the height of the pipes/hoses. I don’t remember exactly how and I cannot picture it right now, but if it’s not the filter, you need (someone) to do this.
I wish we had know this before because for awhile, we didn’t notice the splashing and had thought it was our old washer, leaking water. We replaced it and when they hooked up the new one, we discovered the hose splashing was the reason for water on the floor.
Duh’oh!
