Line Kite String

Line Kite String
I'm new in weather balloons. I would like to start one to about 500 feet to take aerial photos. What do I need?

I'm curious so the balloon size (diameter) and what volume of helium was no need to carry about two pounds of equipment and a strong anchor. The total weight can be about 2.5 pounds, and consist of a digital camera, a Radio Control receiver, and the weight of the mooring line should be used within 500 feet. Is it safe to use kite string? How strong has to be if you have gusts of 20 mph to 10 wind? I much volume of helium to fill a balloon enough to carry 2 or 3 pounds of cargo? Once recovered on the globe, is there a way to recover or re-compress the helium? This is a project for Burning Man, and I have three unopened seven latex balloons feet in diameter.

there are ppl who do this all the time, and you should consult with them. see, for example, http://academic.emporia.edu/aberjame/airphoto/platform/balloon.htm check with the FAA as well, since they have an interest in things in heaven, even at 500 feet. can not recover the helium, without much effort. you want to do some tests at home before heading into the field.
