Thinking of trading in my 2003 Hemi Quad Cab for a Colorado or Canyon 5 cylinder.?
gas is 3.96 to 4.03 here and it’s getting a lil too much for what I use it for. Is this a good idea? Or should I look for an older Toyota 4 cyl 4×4 
it’s been paid off years ago, just sorting out my options… this truck is almost as bad as owning my boat haha
According to most owners, the Canyon/Colorado is junk. The fuel mileage is not good, either. Do some research if you really want to buy one.
Unless you are driving 25,000 miles a year or more, it usually doesn’t make financial sense to trade just to get better fuel mileage. Most people will make out better doing the best they can with what they have. Do the math, figure out what you will lose on your truck if you trade it, figure the extra cost (higher insurance, depreciation and longer payments) of a new vehicle, and compare it to real world MPG, not EPA estimates. I think you will come out ahead in the long run keeping your truck.
