I bought this toy the child .. his jump o-Lene Castle gorilla named.? It's something that kids can jump in. I bounced my room currently set at 15 months of age. However, it has a very distinctive smell of vinyl. Like a shower scent curtian new .. Is it safe to have on a baby's room. Potetnially Could be toxic to the air quality?

Usually this kind of toys are made of PVC (vinyl Polyvinyl), which has been used for many years. PVC plastic becomes flexible by adding plasticizers. It is likely that this plasticizer can smell. Leaches out of plastic and air. Studies are ongoing on the safety of these plasticizers. Some studies suggest it may be harmful to babies and toddlers or for people susceptible to allergies, but no definitive studies that confirm this. Maybe you could put in the open until the smell dissipates (to do), before proceeding with your child's room. You can also try cleaning it again with a solution of vinegar and water, which can remove the odor. Check with the store or dealer if you have outstanding issues with the product.
