Kids Sand Bench
Help with wood furniture painting.?
My husband and I went to a garage sale a few and bought a few pieces of furniture were in good conditions, but only needs to be fixed a little. The first is a bank of wooden toy box we bought for our children, is solid wood and painted once already. Do I HAVE to sand first, and could use the paint that was used to fit in your room? And also bought a carton comfortable pressed by the laminate of almost all the way bald. is only left on the drawer fronts. What all I have to do to paint this? I appreciate all the help!
first you need to know what type of paint already on it. latex or oil. find a place that is not shown. take a sharp object like a nail. scratch the paint. What off-chip and scales or skin? have that information with the paint and suggest the best that can be used in it. if you try to latex on non-stick oil. from there just go basic scratch on light sandpaper. that will help the new paint will adhere better. after everything that I do not want to do a lot of tinkering. just easier to do it right the first time. you do not need to sand everything. just a little scratch. only few minutes. board and press is a pain to paint and make it look good. You will need a good thick book to go first. new zero up or remove any Additional laminate. I personally think that once you start to get rolling, then you need a professional or a trash can.
