Dog house plans with a "tunnel"?
I would like to make a dog house for my chihuahua to be used as rarely treated of a dog inside a small, but still must be comfortable and spacious for him. She loves being outdoors! BUT there are big dogs in the neighborhood so I want the dog house to have a tunnel built in the front to allow him to run in the housing and big dogs do not follow him in. I guess I would to have more fresh air to the tunnel, but not a necessity. I can build and have the use of (husband) tools, but I can not do anything without plans. I can not seem to find anything via Google. Can anyone help with some drawings of the puppy home?
One explanation here should be sufficient? Or a trip to a retailer who sells a nice house dog. It can be as simple as a wooden box. Determine the size you want, cut a base or floor size the outer layer of 3 / 4. Using 2 x 2 'create the frame / uprights, making the end of the upper door of the back wall, allowing a single pitched roof, cutting the sides and end up slope and measures of ground floor and a door I have to say small enough for the dog, but too small for any other dog should be sufficient. This sounds like an analogy of the house kind of bird. small hole in the home / small birds can come and go / but larger birds no. Steven Wolf
Hidden tunnels in Madrid, the Secret Underground World
As a kid I had the privilege of spending the early years of my life in Madrid and study a traditional school run my nuns old since the early 1900s. That school that five minute walk from the Palacio Real de Madrid, right in the center of the city is still up and running in much the same way for decades. During the lunch break, used to tell ghost stories of others who made the break from two hours long more bearable.
In all these stories, I especially remember a day when one of the teachers came and sat with a group of about ten girls, we says how the school was a wartime hospital and uses it to hide from the bombings in secret tunnels just below the school. Apparently, those tunnels not only served as a refuge from air raids during the Spanish Civil War, but also served as a large gallery that connects the key locations within Old Town, for example, the Plaza Mayor, the Palace, City Hall, Hospital, etc.
The reference network interconnection points allowed some privileged people with knowledge of its existence to move freely without fear of being discovered, and most importantly, people and goods move undetected. Obviously, I did many times sales and veracity of this story, as it seemed to me strange that this story was not actually in the public domain, but simply a rare comment of a nun usually never left the confines of the building of the convent school.
To my surprise, this story became quite true. Madrid was named Madjrit after the Arabic word that means "place where there are tunnels. Therefore the secret tunnels connecting the city center of Madrid were real and existed before the Muslim occupation, around the 11th century. The Islamic heritage was particularly rich in knowledge of water distribution and supply. It is thought that the tunnels were actually designed to maintain a permanent reservoir of water, keep away from the sun and thus avoid evaporation.
As the Arab occupation where forced out of Madrid and ultimately, outside Spain, in which systems are obsolete and many people simply forgot of its existence, until the time diffult, including the Civil War days of the city. Madrid citizens refer to their city as a Swiss cheese, because many of their joint below the surface, and it seems there could be more than initially thought.
When the city is home to high profile meetings and events such as official visits of foreign ministers, security is obviously high in the city not only visible, but also in the Madrid subway tunnels. But there are many other cities with the same secret tunnels, for example, Lyon, Paris, Seville and Rome, to name a few. Some places have organized visits to the hidden tunnels, as the Vatican, others will never be seen by the public, others are only visited if you talk to people and do some research. Staying in apartments owned private is a good way to interact with people, if you want to find apartments in Madrid , rentals in Paris, houses Seville will be a hidden tunnel underneath waiting for you to discover.
