Is the Benjamin Sheridan Super Streak a good gun?
Im thinking about buying one, if you own one can you tell me the pros and cons of them, also if i do buy one should i get .177 or .22, if this gun is horrible what is another gun around the same price range or less
First off the claims of 1500fps with the .177 and 1100fps with the .22 are wildly exaggerated….
The Benjamin Sheridan Super Streak is “around” a 20.0fpe rifle.
.22 caliber
800fps – 14.3gr pellet = 20.3fpe
.177 caliber
925fps – 10.5gr pellets = 20.0fpe
These are from actual “real world” tests.
Yes, the Super Streak is a “good” rifle.
For a little more $$ you could buy one of the worlds best spring piston sporters, the .22 caliber RWS 350 Magnum(25.5fpe)
Benjamin covers the Super Streak with a one year warranty, RWS covers their 350 with a lifetime guarantee, that alone should tell you something. BTW RWS(Dianawerks – Dynamite Nobel RWS) has been building quality airguns since 1890 so there’s a pretty good chance they will be around to stand behind that warranty. >Don’t get me wrong, Benjamin Sheridan builds some “good” guns, I just happen to prefer great.
