It is SIMPLE.
You are already using pressure treated wood for the base. All you need to do is to ensure great drainage.
Dig down 6 inches. Place about 2-3 inches of sand down. On top of that, place a good 3-4 inch layer of pea gravel. This will ensure quick drainage, will be absolutely harmless to the children, and give you peace of mind.
Pea gravel is like a cushion as well. Any Concrete, Pavers, additional beams and etc., will be detrimental and less than productive. It is VERY INEXPENSIVE and good for the environment too.
