Eagle Bird Kite
Bats are birds?
Leviticus 11:13 "They also hate that among birds, are abominable, you should not eat: the eagle and the vulture and the buzzard, the kite 14 and the falcon in its kind, 15 every raven in its kind, 16 and the ostrich and the owl and the gull and the hawk in its kind, 17 and the owl and the cormorant and the great owl, 18 and the white owl and the pelican and the vulture, 19 the stork, the heron of its kind, the hoopoe and the bat. I just bats were mammals? Yes, it clearly does not understand. My question is whether the Bible is said to be so right and God, God would not have known that a bat not a bird? Why would he lie to his people? If these goat herders did not know that bats were not birds, why should we trust any thing I say comes from the disclosure statement?
If the Bible were written in English, it would be correct in your question. It is written in Hebrew and it is likely they do not understand biblical Hebrew, hence the difficulty. The Hebrew word is roughly translitterated as "chump." While this can be translated like a bird, bird does not necessarily mean it would be "Tzipora." Here it means anything that flies and can safely say that bats fly. Do you agree that bats fly? The same applies to flying insects, which are called "sheretz haof" swarm of flying creatures. Indeed, if you say "asshole" in modern Hebrew in a restaurant, you would be asking for chicken. I think we can agree that the eagles, herons and bats are not chickens.
