Diamond Kite
Helping building and flying a kite?
I have built a kite for a school project. I made a traditional diamond kite with the two crossing dowel rods being 36in and 24in long and they cross at a 12in point. I covered the kite with newspaper, and a flag for decoration.
I then took the kite outside on a windy day, and tried to fly it. The kite seemed to be picking up wind but it kept exchanging the front faces on which the wind hit it. What is the reason for this? What can I do to solve it?
Another problem, is when I started to run with the kite it flew a little bit behind me and then it spun out and crashed to the ground. What is the reason for this? What can I do to solve it?
My final question is how long and heavy do i build a tail for this kite?

newspaper might not be the best. also a streamer thail would help you put 3 streamers about 4 feet long and see how that works
