Can you get a handicapped parking sticker for your car if your child has autism?
I live in North Carolina itself gave me a handicapped parking sticker for my son. His doctor wrote a letter and took me to the DMV and they gave me one. For people who wonder why it would be necessary …. if you have your child in a public place and go into a tantrum with autism may have to leave the building quickly. Children carry heavy and do not have the far to go. Some children are trying different drugs and can have side effects that do not want to walk a lot. If you do not want to walk they will sit on the floor and is hard to get up. If you need to make only a quick stop to pay a bill and you have never tried to get an autistic child to companies with you, then you really understand.
