How do I get rid of scratches on a gun?
Hey guys, I'm an old refinish pistol.Im Makarov be disassembled, degreased and blast him. Its got some scratches on the slide are small to medium scratches. So before repainting it, what method should use to get rid of them? Or the new finish to cover the scratches?
That depends on how rough you want to finish later. You may have to blasting to make it look less uniform then have Parkerizing to finish stronger than it had. You can also get some Duracoat and bake in one of the dozens of colors. I've seen some interesting firearms made that way.
