Cat’s paws abnormal?
About two years ago, a little black cat about 4 – 5 weeks old stumbled into my backyard. To my surprise, when i lured him out from under an old dresser that was to be thrown out, he let me pick him up and fell alseep on my lap until i brought him in. He was really skinny and had scruffy unclean fur but was still in good condition.
Now two years later, after getting him neutered, and declawed >[I DIDNT WANT TO DECLAW HIM BUT IT WASNT MY CHOICE. please dont start with how cruel that is!]< i noticed his two front paws curve outwards when he sits. Like, it bends out where his wrist is. one more than the other. It isnt a huge curve but its noticeable.
Do you think its because of lack of calcium as a baby? [i saw something like that wth a tiger on discovery channel.]
Or did it have something to do with the declawing?
Note, he isnt overweight at all, his paws dont bother him, he can walk and run just fine. His mother wasnt spayed and had kittens very often.
is he doubled pawed? I dont think it has anythin to do with declawing. lots of cats have paw deformities. i had one that had two feet on every leg and when I had his front feet declawed, because he was walking on them and hurtying himself, he also had claws in between the two feet. one of his feet had a deformed bone that stuck up on the top. he was a great cat. grew to 21 pound and lived to be 21 Years Old . so I wouldnt worry about his slight deviation.
