I'm seeing a lot in rugby, what do I need?
(I'm tired of seeing the ridiculous circus we know as the NFL) Which countries or equipment should I watch or follow? I can see as much as possible, but how I can better understand the sport? I'm trying to make sense of all the different titles of the games I've been seeing, that is, 6 nations, Prime Minister Aviva, VI cup, league administrators, etc. Who am I playing? I have an understanding the small difference between the league and the union, but would like to know much more about sport in general. Thanks
There are a lot of information you're asking here. I will try to break it. Most teams and leagues you mentioned play Rugby Union. This game is not as complicated as it looks for uninitiated. There are only two basic principles need to know to understand the flow of the game, and that distinguish it from the playing field of football. The first is that it must play offense behind the ball carrier. If you are in a position ahead of the carrier and disrupt the game (or to block a defender) is penalized. The second is that players who are on the ground can not handle the ball. If you take the ball and get address must release it and make it available to other player (on each side) that is on their feet. This is what the rugby calls a "contested breakdown." Usually followed by a ruck, which is the struggle for the ball. Rucking rules – which are very strict about how and where the players come into a ruck – gives the offense an advantage in retaining the ball, but not a sure thing. Each front gives the defense a reasonable time fired a turn the ball over. It makes playing much more continuous and requires a much higher degree of cardiovascular fitness players. Limited substitutions add to this – they dress 22 players, fifteen of which start the game. All replacements are permanent, which means that at least eight of its players are on the pitch for the entire game. If you go to U.S. site Rugby (http://www.usarugby.org) find a link called "About U.S. Rugby. This takes you to a document from Adobe called "guide viewers to the game", which gives more details. The Wikipedia article called Rugby Union game (Http: / / en.wikipedia.org / wiki / Playing_rugby_union) is also quite good and has some useful links too. Rugby League is another version This sport developed in northern England. is also popular in eastern Australia, but it is difficult to find elsewhere. There are many technical differences that have become the league and the Union in the games very different, but the most fundamental is that the league has not contested the breakdown. Instead, the attacking team has six tackles low or to advance the ball. If no, or kicking the ball after five casualties, then turn the ball to the opposition – as a failed attempt to fourth in the field. As for the league – all the competitions that you mention play Union. The Six Nations is played every year, and characteristics of the six European teams, England France, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy. His counterpart in the southern hemisphere is the Trinations – another annual contest between New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Argentina will join 2012. This power includes the All Blacks of New Zealand, which is the best team in the world of rugby known. And of course the Rugby World Cup, played every four years. The best of the world 20 countries are participating and will be played next October and November this year in New Zealand. As for club competitions – the best in Europe are Avivi Premier League consists of the 12 English clubs, the Magners League (also called the Celtic League), which has four Irish, four Welsh, two Scottish and two teams Italian. There is also the French Top-14. The best clubs from each of these leagues also compete in the Heineken Cup, the most recent winner is French club, Toulouse. In the south of the main club competition is the Super-15, which consists of teams from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. The most dominant team in that competition has been to New Zealand "crusaders" of the club based in Canterbury. General Discussion is also home to New Zealand (ITM Cup) and South Africa (Currie Cup), where you can see a very High Quality rugby. I know there is much to absorb here, but I hope that helps.
